Drafting

I experimented with different drafting techniques. I wanted to explore how these techniques could help me show the storytelling and movement due to this being a promenade traveling play.

Ground Plan

I used my old Victorian house floor plan and scenic analysis research for this process. This had various challenges and adaptions that I had to make as part of the design process. From rooms for props and changing spaces to a management monitor room, I had to find the space for every element of this project. One of my biggest considerations was how many people could be in one place at the same time.

3d Vectorworks

While working on this project, I also experimented with using 3D Vecorworks to play with different layouts and adding in scenic elements.

Hand ELIVATIONS

I chose to hand draft the outside of the house. Due to the house being the first element that would be seen it was important to me to have a house have an unsettling factor, like you don’t belong to it.
